If
you are on this web site you are most likely interested in a fishing destination.
This one should interest you!
My
name is Captain Dave Prickett and I have been a full-time fishing guide in Everglades
National Park for over 20 years. I live on Chokoloskee Island – a small
island located in the heart of the 10,000 Islands. The 10,000 Islands estuary
happens to be the largest mangrove forest in the western hemisphere. The natural
beauty and wildlife of this area is worth the trip alone.
Chokoloskee
and the 10,000 Islands also offer some of the finest fishing found anywhere in
the world. Many sought-after gamefish are abundant in these waters. Snook, tarpon,
redfish, seatrout, and many other species are found in our coastal and backwaters
of the Everglades. All of these fish can be caught year-round. Whether you preference
is plug casting, fly fishing or live baiting, you will be catered to.
I
run an 18’ Action Craft flats skiff which is docked at the Outdoors Resorts
Marina and RV Park on Chokoloskee Island. There are plenty of motels and restaurants
in the area for your convenience.
I
offer Full- and Half-Day day charters. If you want your next fishing charter to
take you back in time to fishing’s heyday, come and experience fishing the
pristine backwaters of the Everglades.
